Mumbai:
523 motorists were booked for alleged drunken driving on Wednesday night and Thursday morning in the metropolis and 407 vehicles impounded.
Among the 523 motorists, the maximum offenders were in the age group 25-30 years (149) followed by 21-25 years (137), Additional Commissioner of Police Qaisar Khalid said today.
Of the 407 seized vehicles, the highest number were two-wheelers (370) followed by cars (143), police said.
The anti-drunken driving campaign was held between 10 pm and 6 am, police said.
