Mumbai: A 20-year-old boy committed suicide inside a toilet of Mumbai Metro's Andheri station after being upset over a quarrel with his mother.
Paresh Parmar hanged himself from the ceiling of the toilet on Saturday, DCP (Detection), Dhananjay Kulkarni said.
The incident came to light when a house keeping staff found the body hanging from the water pipe inside the washroom, Mr Kulkarni said, adding the employee immediately informed the police.
Mr Parmar was an auto-rickshaw driver and a resident of Ankleshwar district in Gujarat and had come to Mumbai two days ago.
A suicide note was also recovered from the spot in which he stated that he was taking the extreme step over an argument with his mother.
A case of suicide has been registered at the Andheri police station, police added.
