Mumbai: An ex-BPO employee along with his two associates was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife, police said in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The woman's husband and the other accused, who killed her on Sunday night, had cooked up a story before the police that two robbers had strangled her.
However, the statement of the employee's three-year-old son who was in the car with his six-year-old brother of not seeing anybody fight in the car led the police to doubt the accused's claims.
During further interrogation, the accused Salman Shaikh (26) confessed to have killed his wife with the help of his friends. Shaikh was arrested on Monday.
Subsequently, his two associates Shaikir Shaikh alias Ela (20) and Sadiq Mohammad Rafique Khan (20) were also nabbed, police said.
