The video was shot on June 30 by someone who lived next door to the school for children with special needs in Matunga, in the heart of Mumbai. The neighbour heard the teacher shouting while children screamed for help. He allegedly circulated the shocking video on WhatsApp to parents.
A police case has been filed against the school and the teacher, who was allegedly fired after the video surfaced.
The school for differently-abled children is run by a private group which operates similar branches in three other cities.
