A five-year-old girl was thrown from a train this morning in Mumbai, allegedly by another passenger.
The child has been admitted to hospital where she is reported to be stable despite serious head injuries.
She was traveling with her family on an express train and they were seated near the door of their compartment.
At 6 am, a man came upto her and pushed her out. She was thrown on the railway tracks between Ghatkopar and Vidya Vihar on Mumbai's Central Line.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested by the Government Railway Police. He is suspected to be mentally disturbed.
