Mumbai: The police has banned the use of drones for a month in Mumbai after a drone was filmed earlier this week hovering near the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
A police order today cites concerns about a terror attack between now and August 2 that could involve para-gliders, remote controlled micro-light aircraft or drones.
The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, which includes advanced nuclear labs, has been on a terror hit list for years. On Monday, a professor who works at a college nearby noticed a drone near the centre and filmed it on his cellphone. He has submitted the footage to the local police.
