Mumbai:
A fire broke in a scrap godown in a crowded suburban market of the Mankhurd area on Tuesday evening, Fire Brigade sources said. It was brought under control late in the evening.
No casualties were reported in the blaze at the godown located on the Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road, they said.
Eight fire engines and as many water tankers were immediately rushed to put out the fire which started at around 6.30 pm. Two ambulances were also stationed at the spot, the sources said.
Cause of the fire was not immediately known.
