Mumbai:
The bomb threat to the Oman Air flight which made an emergency landing in Mumbai this afternoon has been declared a hoax, five hours after the plane landed. The pilot of the Muscat-Kuala Lumpur had allegedly received a call about a bomb on the plane.
The flight, which had 190 passengers on board, will soon take off.
It had landed safely around 1:47 p.m. and was directed to an isolated bay of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport for investigations.
Since the bomb threat was a specific one, passengers were frisked and both check-in and cabin luggage were searched.
