Mumbai:
A three-year old girl and her grandmother were found dead at their Antop Hill home on Friday, police said. Certain valuables were also missing from the house, they added.
According to police, Ranjana Nagalkar (65) and her granddaughter Vaishnavi used to be at home during the day. However, when Vaishnavi's mother Sheetal came home from work this afternoon, neither Ranjana nor Vaishnavi opened the door despite repeated knocks.
Sheetal raised the cry and called her neighbours. Later it was found that Vaishnavi and Ranjana were lying in a pool of blood in a room.
Police said robbery could be the motive behind the killing, adding that investigations were on.
