Mumbai: Police investigating the murder of top bookie Rajesh Kukreja suspect that a bar dancer may have lured the deceased to Duru Bar, Ulhasnagar, on Sunday, the night he was murdered. While checking Kukreja's mobile phone, police have come across a call made by Seema, a bar dancer, on the day of the murder. Moreover, Seema has been missing since two days and police believe she played a major role in the murder and have named her as a prime suspect.

Seema, in her telephonic conversation with Kukreja, had invited him to the bar saying, "Gana sun ne aa jaao" (Come to listen to a song), said a source. The source further revealed that Kukreja, a regular customer at the dance bar, hadn't visited the bar for three days and the accused who were tracking him may have asked Seema to entice him to the bar.

"We are investigating on all possible angles. We are also in the process of verifying all call details of Kukreja," said Siddharth Wagh, senior inspector at Ulhasnagar police station.

Three arrested
Meanwhile, police have arrested three more persons - Sunil Chikne, Sunil Jadhav alias Nigro alias Lottery and Dev Kumar Shetty, bar manager - in the case.

Earlier police had arrested a former Shiv Sena corporator Shekhar Yadav, and an MNS worker, Kishan Donglekar, in connection with the killing. Police have also detained another bookie Kamlesh Lakhani alias Kammo too. Kammo and Kukreja had been involved in many fights in the past.

On one occasion Kammo intervened when Kukreja was showering money on a bar-dancer and that had led to a fight. 15 days back the two had a massive fight over a payment issue. Police had then booked both of them, following cross complaints.
