Mumbai:
A group of reveling teenagers were in for a rude shock when they spotted a human skeleton on the tripods near Haji Ali sea face yesterday. Fearing the worst, probably a murdered victim or an act of black magic, onlookers raised an alarm. The shocked students immediately alerted the Tardeo police, who rushed to the spot.
"We were informed by some students of Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Management (LLIM) about the bag and we reached the spot quickly," said Ajendra Thakur, senior inspector of police, Tardeo police station.
During the police panchnama, the cops found a cluster of bones, which had red markings on them.
A forensic expert, who initially, examined the bones, said that they appeared to be bones that are used by MBBS students to study anatomy.
The Tardeo police station confirmed the incident, and an on-duty police officer, said that the bones have been sent for further forensic examination to Nair hospital.
Incidentally, Nair hospital has a hostel near Haji Ali.
"On investigating, we realised 84 bones were thrown by a medical college from the vicinity, who probably researched them, and then threw it away," said Thakur.
