New Delhi:
Delhi and Mumbai woke up to their coldest February morning in years. The minimum temperature recorded in Delhi was 4 degree Celsius today, the coldest in five years. This is four degrees below normal.
Mumbai also witnessed an unprecedented cold wave on Wednesday night as the mercury dropped to a record low of 8.8 degree Celsius.
Last time Delhi experienced such chill in the month of February was in 2008 when the temperature dipped to 8.5 degrees Celsius.
In 2011, the temperature in the national capital was recorded as high as 15 degrees on February 9.
