Mumbai: A 27-year-old man has been arrested by the railway police for allegedly molesting a woman on a local train in Mumbai.
According to the police, the woman, a nurse, boarded the train from the Churchgate Station early this morning. She was the only passenger in the ladies compartment of the train, operating on the western lines of the city's railway network. The accused, who the police say was drunk, entered the compartment a couple of stops later, from the Mahalaxmi Station, and allegedly molested the woman.
He was caught by other passengers in the train and the railway police when the woman raised an alarm at the next station in Lower Parel in south Mumbai.
