Mumbai:
A 55-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his minor daughter, police said.
Mukhtar Essa Siddiqui, who is unemployed, sexually assaulted the 17-year-old, a Class X student, at his residence at Bhoiwada in central Mumbai.
Siddiqui's wife tried to intervene, but she was threatened by her husband, Senior Inspector V B Patil said, the incident took place on Saturday morning, but a complaint was lodged by the victim's mother.
Siddiqui was not under the influence of alcohol while committing the crime, Patil said, adding, the victim has four elder brothers.
