Mumbai: A 28-year-old man working at a food stall allegedly committed suicide at his residence in suburban Andheri, police said on Wednesday.
Shivraj Chinnappa, hailing from Karnataka, was found hanging with a rope from an iron rod at his home in Goni Nagar by his two roommates, police said.
According to the police, Chinnappa's two roommates returned home from work on Tuesday night but found it locked as the key was with Chinnappa.
"Because of this, the two, who also work at a food stall in Andheri slept in the food centre last night," Deepak Bagwe, Inspector of MIDC police station said.
On Wednesday morning, the duo returned to their room but Chinnappa, who was at home, did not respond despite repeated knocks on door.
Bagwe said the duo called up the police who broke open the door and Chinnappa was rushed to Cooper Hospital. No suicide note was found on him.
