Man hit by Porsche has leg amputated
Mumbai: In Mumbai, a motorcyclist who was hit by a young driver in a speeding Porsche on Monday, has had to have one of his legs amputated. This is because gangrene had set in on his wound on the leg.

Doctors had to amputate his leg to prevent the infection from spreading.

Twenty four-year-old Ankesh Shahra was drunk, says the Mumbai Police, when he ran his Porsche into Ainul Haq, who works as a delivery boy for a local restaurant named Zaffran.

Ankesh tried to race away from the scene of the accident near the Police Gymkhana on Marine Drive. He was stopped by the police and was arrested for rash and negligent driving.  He was granted bail soon after.

Ankesh is the son of Dinesh Shahra, the MD of Ruchi Soya Ltd.

According to Haq's employer, who is currently footing his medical bill, the Shahras have offered monetary compensation to the victim.
