Mumbai: 1 killed, 6 injured in weathershed collapse

Mumbai: A seven-year old girl died and six others were injured after part of a roof of a building fell on the nearby slums in south Mumbai on Saturday.

According to the fire brigade officials, it was a building of Brihanmumbai Muncipal Corporation itself and the residents were issued notices to evacuate as the building was dilapidated but they refused to vacate.

Tharia Sheikh (7) died in the incident while six others who sustained injuries are recuperating in Nair hospital, Fire Brigade officials said.
