Around 150 resident doctors at Sion Hospital in Mumbai are on strike to protest against being beaten up by patients' relatives.
The hospital is one of the main municipal hospitals in the city that treats a large number of patients.
Doctors have been on strike since 3am on Monday after patients' relatives got into a scuffle with them.
A meeting will soon be held by them to decide whether to resume work or continue the strike.
