Mumbai: In the wake of tough competition from Ola, Uber and fleet cabs, a group comprising around 250 black-and-yellow taxis in Mumbai, has come up with a discount scheme. As per the offer, passengers will be given a '20% discount' if the fare crosses Rs 200.
The 'discount' taxis have to be hired through the call centre run by 9211 Cabs. As per reports, presently the discount is available for pickups in Bandra west and east and also at Bandra-Kurla Complex.
9211 Cabs, it may be noted, are already working on an app for users to book kaali-peelis across Mumbai.
As of now, the cab bookings are available between 8 am and 8 pm through their call centre-022-40029211 while the pickup is round-the-clock. The one condition for availing of the discount is that you have to book the cab at least two hours in advance.
It may be recalled that some time back, Meru had announced a 20% discount, while TabCab had announced discounts of up to 28%.
