Mumbai airport is operational again
Mumbai: The runways at the Mumbai airport were operational again after they were shut down for five hours earlier in the day.

Lights at the intersection of the runways had to be realigned because the runways have been made wider. So from 11.30 am to 4.30 pm, the runways were off-limits.

No slots were cancelled for any airlines. All airlines were informed about the changes.

The runway intersection was handed over at 1616. Both runways are operational now.

After remaining closed for five hours in the day the first arrival was of 9W541 from Dubai at 1622. The first departure that took place was of IT4123 to Bhavnagar at 1628.

Mumbai is India's second-busiest airport after Delhi.

The runways will be closed for the same span of time (five hours) on April 30 as well.
