Mumbai:
A 55-year-old security guard of a housing society in Mulund died on the spot when a resident of the society lost control over her car which allegedly hit him. Police later arrested the accused woman.
According to the police, the incident took place at the gate of building C/3 in Rathi Highland Park Society at Mulund West on Sunday night. The watchman Bapu Maheshkar was on duty at the gate of the society. Police officials said that on Sunday night, Devyani Joshi, a resident of flat 501, C/3 in the complex, was driving out of the gate when she suddenly lost control over the car.
Bapu was seriously injured. Residents of the society immediately took him to the hospital where he was declared dead before arrival. Mulund police arrested Devyani after Bapu's wife lodged a complaint.
