Despite forecasts of heavy rain and a warning to residents to stay home as much as possible, it was business as usual in Mumbai this morning.
There were lighter showers than what was predicted.
After the met department warned of intense rainfall over the next two days, the city's municipal corporation had asked residents of the financial capital not to step out unless absolutely necessary.
Mumbai was walloped by heavy rain on Sunday for the third day in a row.
Fishermen have been warned against venturing into the Arabian Sea, which will be very rough accompanied by up to 50 kmph strong gusts, the met department said.
On Sunday, local trains were affected. The Central Railway and Harbour Line services were suspended for nearly four hours due to flooding on railway tracks.
