Mumbai: Tragedy struck when an Agni Air Dornier plane slammed into a cliff in western Nepal yesterday, claiming the lives of 13 Indian pilgrims. Three families in Mumbai are struggling to come to terms with the catastrophe, having lost loved ones who were on the flight.
Arora family, residents of Gamadiya lane at Peddar Road, lost 54-year-old Kamal Arora, his wife Menaka, 52 and their 19-year-old son Shiv Arora in the crash. They had left for the pilgrimage to the famous Mukninath temple on Friday night.
"The deceased couple is survived by two daughters - 25-year-old Prerna and 29-year-old Vidhi, who is married. Both of them are reeling with shock and grief, ever since they heard news of the crash," said a family friend, requesting anonymity.
The plane was flying from Pokhara, a major tourist destination, to Jomsom.
