Mumbai: A one-day-old baby boy was kidnapped from the government-run B J Wadia Hospital in central Mumbai on Wednesday evening.
The mother, Jasmine Naik, who works as a domestic help, was admitted to the hospital on Monday. She delivered the baby boy on Tuesday. Yesterday, Jasmine was out walking when the baby was stolen.
A person who claims to have witnessed the incident has reportedly told the police that a young woman about 25, dark-complexioned and wearing an orange saree with dots, took the baby.
The baby's father is unemployed.
