On His Mumbai Nightlife Proposal, Shiv Sena Youth Wing Chief Aditya Thackeray Speaks to NDTV: Highlights

Shiv Sena's Youth Wing Chief Aditya Thackeray spoke to NDTV on his 24X7 night zones proposal in Mumbai.

Here are the highlights:

• I have evolved as a night person.
• Every party keeps evolving and we do different things in different decades
• This is monumental, this is huge. We have changed the words 'impossible', 'can't' and made it true.
• I can wear anything on the road at any time in the day or night, without people asking me questions. This is the greatest strength of Mumbai.
• When I proposed this idea then it was clean and clear.
• I don't think noise will be a problem.
• Mumbai is a safe city. It works on trust.
• We are working on a plan whereby if 90 per cent residents agree on bars in residential areas like carter road to remain open, then they will be allowed to stay open.
• I am also speaking to the transport department for trains and other things to stay open.
• I have already congratulated the Aam Admi Party or AAP and yes, if they compete with us in 2017 civic polls, all competition is good
