Mumbai:
Pakistani singer Adnan Sami has been issued a summon by the Mumbai Police for overstaying in India after his visa expired on October 6.
Mr Sami has been given seven days to reply to the notice under the Passport Act. Police said if the reply is found unsatisfactory, them may report the matter to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
He has 30 days to regularise his visa. Immigration rules grant the police discretionary powers that allow a foreigner to stay for 30 days after the expiry of the visa.
He will also be fined for each day he overstays in India.
Mr Sami has sung in several Bollywood films including

Taare Zameen Par and
