Mumbai:
A Paris-bound Air France aircraft, with 198 passengers including two infants on board, had to return to the city airport within half-an-hour of take-off due to a snag, in the wee hours on Monday.
"All passengers and the crew are safe and the airline is making arrangements to fly them to their destination," an Air France official said in Mumbai.
The Mumbai-Paris Air France flight took off at 0313 hours on Monday but had to return soon after and landed back at 0340 hours, the official said.
The official further said they are awaiting a report from their engineers for ascertaining the cause for the unscheduled landing of Airbus 330-200 plane.
They are arranging another plane for ferrying the stranded passengers who are put up at a city hotel now, he added.
