Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today attended the foundation ceremonies of the Fourth Terminal of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust at Nhava Sheva and the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar memorial at Indu Mills in Dadar.
The Prime Minister is spending the day in Mumbai where he would also conduct a 'bhoomi pujan' for two new Metro lines at Bandra-Kurla Complex, where he will also address a rally.
He was received by Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis earlier today.
His programmes, however, has been skipped by Uddhav Thackeray, the chief of Shiv Sena, which is ruling the state along with the BJP. Mr Thackeray is attending a farmers' meeting in Beed to review the drought situation, his party has said.
