Rain stops in most parts of Mumbai, civic body holds special meet

According to a statement by Mumbai's central railway:

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is holding a special meeting of its standing committee to deal with the issue of potholes.

There has been no rain in Parel for nearly an hour.

The western suburbs have received no rainfall in the last one hour and things are back to normal in the area.

Rough waves can be seen at the Juhu beach where strong winds are blowing. People are avoiding the area with the roads leading to the beach nearly empty.

Mumbra bypass badly damaged; closed for traffic
Tthe closure of the bypass has led to traffic snarls in the internal parts of the city.

It had stopped raining for a while in suburbs and south Bombay. Trains are reporting a 10-minute delay.

High tide of near 5 metres is expected at around 1:30 pm today. Municipal authorities have said that the two hours before and two hours after the high tide will be crucial.
