Rains in Mumbai: Trains, flights delayed by 15 minutes; 1 dead in building collapse
Mumbai: Trains on Mumbai's suburban rail network ( Western and Central ) have been running late by around 15 minutes after intermittent rain since last night.

Flights out of Mumbai airport too are running delayed by 15 minutes. Three flights have been diverted so far.

Early this morning, an unoccupied building collapsed in suburban Mumbai's Malad area. One man was trapped in the debris. However he had already died by the time he was rescued. Residents had vacated the building some time ago after it was declared dangerous.

Although there have been no reports of water logging, the high tide in Mumbai is expected at 12:50pm. A tide of 4.7 metres is expected. At that time, due to this height of the tide, water does not flow into the sea. So if it rains heavilly, much of the rain water does not drain out thereby causing water logging in low lying areas.
