MNS chief has ordered his men to pull down the banner placed atop the AC toilet at the earliest.
Mumbai:
While most politicians might grin from ear to ear after looking at their posters in any party of the city, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray expressed his displeasure over a poster installed on an air-conditioned toilet in Kandivli (East) and asked his men to remove it immediately.
Addressing the crowd at the launch of MNS MLA Pravin Darekar's book, Thackeray said, "People using the toilet will get embarrassed. They'll think I'm looking at them." When mid-day contacted Darekar, who commissioned the toilet, said that Thackeray's picture would be removed at the earliest. "I'll also pull down my photo from the banner. With the banner atop, the toilet feels more like an office."
Expressing his views on the party supremo's directive, an MNS worker from the area said the banner with photos of the both the leaders looked nice and had a positive effect on the workers. "We felt as if Raj saheb was watching us. Now that he wants us to remove it, we'll do it immediately but with a heavy heart," the worker said.
