Mumbai:
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today arrested the daughter of a retired High Court judge for demanding bribe.
The woman in question was arrested along with an agent Sunil Shirole for allegedly demanding Rs 30 lakh from a complainant to get a favourable order in a matter pending with the National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission in New Delhi.
Her father, S Mhase, is a retired judge of the Bombay High Court and is currently the Chairman of the Maharashtra Consumer Forum.
Searches were conducted at the residence and the office of the accused. She will be produced in court tomorrow.
