Mumbai: In a bizarre incident, a robber bit the ear of a peon at a shop before fleeing with cash and valuables, while and his two associates attacked the shop owner with a dummy revolver here today, the police said.
Three unidentified persons entered a shop at suburban Khar under the pretext of handing over some parcels.
The trio tied up the shop-owner and struck him with the dummy revolver. One of the robbers bit the ear of the peon and fled with Rs 9,100 in cash and a mobile phone, the police said.
The shop-owner and his peon were admitted to the Bhabha Hospital.
