Salman Khan's boduguard Shera is known for his close personal relationship with the actor
New Delhi:
Actor Salman Khan's bodyguard, Shera, has been named in a case of assault by the Mumbai Police.
He denied the charges and said he had a verbal argument with the complainant. But Attar Umar Qureshi has said during a fight on a road last night, Shera pulled a gun on him last night and him with it.
Shera, who goes by just one name, is known for his close personal relationship with his superstar employer, with whom he has worked for nearly 20 years.
In 2011, Mr Khan dedicated the movie "Bodyguard" to him; on occasions like his birthday, Shera has been given presents including a motorcycle by Mr Khan.
Mr Qureshi has alleged that Shera beat him up and he is now in hospital, according to the Press Trust of India.
The police complaint says that Mr Qureshi, who was traveling in an Audi, spotted Shera and stopped his car. It's not clear what provoked the fight that followed.
