Mumbai:
In Mumbai, a senior policeman died in his office this morning after he shot himself with his service revolver.
PD Gaikwad returned to his room after a meeting and shot himself once in the head. He was an Assistant Commissioner with the Dahisar Division of the Mumbai Police.
No suicide note has been found so far.
Gaikwad's colleagues rushed to his room after they heard the bullet shot and found the officer lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
He was taken to Bhagwati hospital nearby, where he was declared dead on arrival.
