Senior railway official wrote obscene messages on ticket
Mumbai: A habit of writing obscene messages on rail tickets has landed a railway clerk in police custody. The Kurla railway police has caught Sagar Vaidya (35), a senior clerk with the railways after a woman registered a complaint against him stating that he gave her a ticket with an obscene message and his mobile number written on it.

According to cops, Sunita Sontakke (21) bought a ticket for Parel at Vikhroli station at 5 pm on Saturday. However, Sunita saw some vulgar message and a telephone number written on the ticket.

She immediately called her husband Prashant. When Sontakke started questioning Vaidya about the message on the ticket, Vaidya and another clerk manhandled him and reportedly slapped him. He then lodged a complaint with the Kurla railway police. However, the other clerk is still at large.

"We have arrested Vaidya and registered a case against him under section 509 of IPC. We are searching for the other clerk, Prajapati, who fled the spot after the incident,' said S S Dhumal, senior inspector of Kurla railway police.

Commenting on the incident, A K Singh, public relation officer of Central Railway said "We are looking into the matter and suitable action will be taken against Vaidya after the railway police finishes its investigations."
