A special CBI court hearing the sensational Sheena Bora murder case today pulled up Thane jail officials for not producing one of the accused, Shyamwar Rai, before the court.
"I will initiate contempt proceedings," special CBI Judge HS Mahajan said while directing the officials to produce Shyamwar Rai on May 11.
Shyamwar Rai, former driver of prime accused Indrani Mukerjea, had written an application to the court. The court is now likely to hear it on May 11.
The court also directed Ms Mukerjea and other accused in the case, her husband Peter Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna, to be present on the next date of hearing.
Meanwhile, the court also directed CBI to file its written submission on Mr Mukerjea's bail plea on May 13, failing which the court said it will fix the matter for passing the order.
Mr Mukerjea's application for bail had been rejected in the past.
The judge also directed Ms Mukerjea to follow instructions of jail authorities who have complained that she was not taking her medicines for blood pressure.
She is lodged in women's prison at Byculla.
"I have received a complaint from jail authorities that you refuse to take medicines and you are continuously walking in barrack," Mr Mahajan told Ms Mukerjea.
Ms Mukerjea, who was present in court room, told court that her blood pressure was low. Her lawyer assured the court that she will follow the court's directions.
"Aapko kuch hoga toh kya hoga (what will happen if something happens to you)...take care," the court told her.
Ms Mukerjea, Shyamwar Rai and Sanjeev Khanna allegedly strangled Sheena Bora (24), Ms Mukerjea's daughter from earlier relationship, inside a car in April 2012. The crime, which came to light last August, is allegedly linked to certain financial dealings.
They were arrested in August last year and Mr Mukerjea in November.
According to CBI, Mr Mukerjea was part of the murder conspiracy.
