The three accused in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case Indrani Mukerjea, Peter Mukerjea and Sanjeev Khanna's lawyer on Friday got the copy driver Shyamvar Rai's statement recorded before magistrate court.
In his shocking revelation, Rai says that it was Indrani who gave him the weapon (Katta) when Rai was first arrested for the possession of illegal arms.
The statement is 17 pages long entirely in Hindi which give details of the events of the night Sheena was killed. He revealed that Indrani asked him to stop the car in which Sheena was murdered at one point and instructed him to cover her mouth. Later Indrani and Khanna came to the back seat where Sheena was sitting. Indrani then proceeded to strangle Sheena and Khanna and Rai on other hand restrained Sheena. Sheena even bit his hand when she was being strangulated.
Rai then gave details of how they eliminated the body the next day.
At the end of the statement Rai talks about how he was handed over a parcel by Kajal, Indrani's assistant that he was asked to take 3 months pay and leave the place.
When Rai reached home, he opened the parcel and to his shock discovered that it was a katta. He said that he tried twice to get rid of this.
As far Peter Mukerjea is concerened, there are no allegations against Peter for murder, his lawyer Mihir Gheewala confirmed it to mid-day.
