Specially-abled take part in sports event in Mumbai

Mumbai: With the intention to increase the enthusiasm of sports activities in a specially-abled student Skills and Ability School, Mulund organised an annual sport competition at the school ground on November 27 under the guidance of Indian Council for Mental Health. 106 students participated in the event. The event included various games like running, cycling, kicking and moving ball in a circle, musical cap, running under the table and trio-cycling.

The games that students played during the competition were decided according to their intelligence quotient level. "Every year we conduct different kinds of competitions to boost the enthusiasm of students. At the same time to increase their interest in sports and make them capable to face the society like a normal individual we organise such events," said Nandkumar Gharat, special educator at Skills and Ability School, Mulund.
