Mumbai:
A worker with the Hindustan Construction Company died on Monday at 6.30pm when a speeding Honda City hit him on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
Charan Singh was walking between the two cable-stayed towers when the accident happened. Singh was involved in maintenance work for HCC, which constructed the sea link. The Honda City, registration number MH-01-VA-8791, was headed towards the Worli end of the sea link.
Assistant police inspector of the Worli police station S Yedurkar said, "The man was rushed to Guru Nanak Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival." The driver has been detained.
