Nearly eight to ten men, suspected to be workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), attacked a toll plaza in Navi Mumbai's Kharghar on Tuesday evening. A senior official at the toll plaza was injured in the attack. Police have arrested six people over the attack.
The act was caught on the CCTV cameras installed at the toll plaza. A group of men can be seen on camera barging inside the toll plaza's office and arguing with the officials there. Suddenly, one of the attackers slaps an official; another picks up a bottle of water and hits the other official with it.
The manager at the toll plaza, Rakesh Singh, said they were attacked because they had filed an FIR against the MNS workers for vandalizing the plaza earlier.
The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the suspected MNS workers.
