Mumbai: The fad of obscene talks with the students led a teacher to jail when he went a step ahead and showed indecent MMS to a minor student. Police arrested the teacher and seized his mobile.
The incident took place in Thane on Saturday evening. The accused Ravindra Bhalerao, 27, resident of Katemanivali in Kalyan runs private classes at Charai in Thane. On Saturday evening, he asked a class VIII girl to wait for extra time and showed obscene clippings from his mobile.
The girl, who was frightened, narrated the incident to her parents who approached Hemant Vani, a member of Thane Municipal Corporation's Education department.
Ravindra was handed over to the police who found obscene clippings on his cell phone which was later seized.
