Mumbai:
A man has been arrested for allegedly slapping and molesting a television actor while she was shooting for a reality show at the Film City in suburban Goregaon.
According to the police, the actor was attacked and threatened by Mohammed Akil Mallick (24) who was apparently angry over her dress.
The actor, meanwhile, has filed a complaint with the police in which she has said the accused entered the set on the pretext of being a spectator but later molested her.
Senior inspector at Aarey police station, Vilas Chavan, said that the accused has been booked under Sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
Mallick will be produced before the court on Monday.
