Vashi, Thane:
A 16-year old school-girl helped the police bust an alleged flesh trade racket in Vashi, Thane district, a senior officer said today
The accused gang, including two women, befriended the minor in April under the pretext of offering her professional training to work in a doctor's clinic, Inspector S H Patil of Nalla Sopara police station said on Wednesday.
The duo, however, took the victim to the house of one of the women and apparently detained her there for over last three months during which they forced her into prostitution, he said.
The girl somehow managed to escape from the house and approached police.
Based on the complaint filed by her, police registered a case against ten persons under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and under provisions of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act
