Two boys electrocuted in Mumbai while playing cricket

Mumbai: Two youngsters were electrocuted in Andheri on Sunday, when they accidentally touched a loose electric wire while retrieving a ball from a water tank, the police said.

Kadar Hussain Shaikh (19) and Mohammed Mustaffa Khan (20) climbed a water tank on a building in Bardawadi area when they got electrocuted.

"The duo was rushed to a hospital but they were declared dead on arrival. Mohammed was an electrician while Kadar was a salesman," informed V D Bhoite, Senior Inspector at D N Nagar police station.

"We are probing the matter and if required, a case of negligence would be registered against the authority or person concerned for keeping the electric wire loose," he said.
