Mumbai: Kharghar Police have arrested the lady, who allegedly poured hot oil on her husband and was absconding since then. Manisha Kadam (35) was nabbed on Wednesday, police said.
According to police, Manisha, who was married to Jairaj Kadam (42), a weight and measurement officer and a resident of Devdarshan building at sector-19 in Kharghar, was having a disturbed married life. The duo were married for last 18 years and had several problems between them, the official said. On Friday last, the duo had an argument over some monetary matter after which Manisha poured hot oil on her husband.
"She fled to Pune at her parent's house from where we brought her back. They had been having fights from many years. The couple was having some dispute between them and always indulged in argument. During the fight, Manisha took the hot oil kept nearby and poured it on her husband in a fit of rage. Her husband sustained 40 percent burn injuries and is still undergoing treatment at Vashi's MGM hospital," an official from Kharghar Police Station said.
