Mumbai: A youth was arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl at his residence in Nehru
Nagar, police said today.
Arif Ansari (20), who runs a bakery owned by his father, took the five-year-old, who had come to buy bread, to his residence attached to the shop and misbehaved with her on Monday, they said.
"The victim's mother said Ansari touched her daughter inappropriately and also filmed her in objectionable way. Subsequently, an FIR was lodged," they said.
Deputy Police Commissioner Dilip Sawant said, "Ansari was arrested from his shop soon after the FIR was filed. His cellphone was seized, but no MMS clip was found from it."
Ansari was booked under IPC Section 354 (outraging modesty).
The Nehru Nagar area was in the news for wrong reasons last year as three minor girls had been raped and murdered.
