Mumbai: A youth went missing on Sunday while swimming in the sea off Mahim in central Mumbai.
According to eyewitnesses, the youth, around 20 years old, got dragged by waves at around 1.15 pm, police said.
"Some people said the youth had two companions. The two appear to have run away from the spot after the incident. We are trying to ascertain the name and other details about this youth. He is still missing," said Vinay Kulkarni, Inspector at Mahim Police Station.
"Boats patrolling the sea have been pressed into service" he added, saying that search was on.
