Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: Around 40 children have fallen ill after allegedly consuming poisonous seeds at Sahawli village under New Mandi police station in Muzaffarnagar district.
Police said that the children, aged between 4 and 12 years had gone to play in a nearby jungle area yesterday where they allegedly consumed some seeds.
They soon complained of headache, vomiting and fever and were rushed to the district hospital, police said.
Four of them were referred to Meerut hospital, police sources said.
The others are out of danger now, police said.
