The body of a 40-year-old woman, who went missing on Sunday, was found in Yamuna canal near Kandhla town in Shamli district, police said today.
The woman, Shahida, a resident of Khajuri Khas in New Delhi, went missing from her daughter's house in Gangoh in Saharanpur district on August 11, they said.
The body was found floating in the canal last evening after which it was sent for post-mortem, the police said.
An investigation has been launched in the matter, they said.
